TOWN OF YAMPA WATER & SEWER OPERATOR POSITION OPENING
The Town of Yampa is seeking applications from motivated individuals for the position of Water & Sewer Operator/Trainee. This full-time, non-exempt position offers a hiring range of $53,040 to $56,270 annually, plus expected overtime and paid on-call wages. Compensation may vary depending on licenses and experience.

Colorado operator license is not required initially, but the applicant must have the ability and willingness to obtain one within a reasonable timeframe.
We are looking for an individual with a strong desire to learn, a dedicated work ethic, and a commitment to serving the public. Experience or interest in skilled trades and equipment operation is also desirable. Please note that this is a safety-sensitive position.
THE COMMUNITY
The Town of Yampa was incorporated in 1907, and has long since been home for hardworking ranchers, rough and tumble miners and those that prefer unbeatable mountain lifestyles. Today a few stores, a couple restaurants and a motel dot the quaint historic downtown, while tree-lined neighborhoods and the headwaters of the Yampa River wind through Town. While there are many summer community activities, Yampa is known for the long-standing traditions of its 4th of July Celebration. Stagecoach State Park and the Flat Tops Wilderness are some of the area’s most popular outdoor recreational opportunities. Stagecoach has a 780-acre reservoir with a full-service marina, and the Flat Tops are known for its world class hunting, fishing and spectacular vistas. The rolling country roads are popular with the biking crowd. There are beautiful cross country skiing and hiking trails nearby, and Yampa sits nestled between several Rocky Mountain ski and snowboard areas in Steamboat Springs and the Vail Valley.
